Custom Conveyor Roller Manufacturer:
Measured and Verified to Spec
As a custom conveyor roller manufacturer and CEMA member, we run new precision production machines with inline measurement systems that check critical dimensions during production.
Rollers are measured against your tolerances, and durable materials mean low friction, longer conveyor life, and lower maintenance. Our contract manufacturing operation is ISO 9001:2015 certified with full traceability.
- CEMA member — Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association
- 5 million rollers per year, 10,000+ daily
- Low-friction materials that extend conveyor life
- New builds, replacements, and extensions
- Tolerances tighter than industry standard
Plastic Shaft End Adapter
A plastic shaft-end adapter that both dampens roller noise and dissipates static charge — without sacrificing throughput. Built for sortation lines, fulfillment centers, and noise-sensitive environments where ambient sound levels matter. Available on request — specify with your quote.
Quieter Operation
Reduced rolling noise across the full speed range.
Anti-Static
Plastic insert formulated to dissipate static charge buildup.
High-Speed Precision Bearings
Every Lotus roller ships with high-speed precision bearings rated for continuous-duty service. Sealed for life, low rolling resistance, and engineered to outlast the conveyor itself.
High-Speed Rated
Engineered for continuous duty at production speeds.
Sealed for Life
No relubrication required for the bearing service life.
Custom Conveyor Roller Specifications
Standard production specs. Need something outside these ranges? Our technical team handles custom builds.

ExploreRoller Production FAQ
Conveyor rollers are typically built from galvanized steel, stainless steel, aluminum, or PVC, depending on load, environment, and budget. Lotus manufactures galvanized steel rollers as our standard — the right balance of strength, corrosion resistance, and cost for the vast majority of warehouse and distribution applications. Stainless steel and other materials are available on request for food-grade, washdown, or chemical-exposure environments.
Roller diameter is driven by the load you are conveying and the smallest package length you need to support. Larger diameters run more smoothly and resist deflection over longer spans; smaller diameters let shorter packages bridge between rollers without falling. Diameter alone does not determine load capacity — wall gauge, shaft size, and bearing selection matter just as much. For most warehouse, e-commerce, and parcel-handling applications, 1.9" outer diameter is the industry standard, and Lotus manufactures both 1.875" and 1.9" OD rollers as standard production.
Gravity conveyors use the force of gravity (a small downward slope) to move product along non-driven rollers — simple, low-maintenance, and economical. Powered roller conveyors (including CDLR — chain-driven live roller) use motors and drives to move product along powered rollers, allowing horizontal travel, accumulation control, and speed regulation. Lotus specializes in idler rollers for gravity conveyor systems today. If your program calls for powered or CDLR rollers, tell us about your requirements — we want to hear where your conveyor program is heading.
CDLR (chain-driven live roller) conveyor uses a chain to drive each roller, providing positive accumulation and speed control across long horizontal runs — common for heavier loads and pallet handling. Gravity conveyor uses unpowered idler rollers on a slight decline, relying on gravity for product movement — common for picking, packing, and parcel sortation. Lotus specializes in idler rollers for gravity systems; if you have a CDLR requirement, tell us about your program.
Lotus manufactures idler rollers for gravity conveyor systems in galvanized steel. Standard production: 1.875" or 1.9" outer diameter, lengths from 10" to 68", shaft sizes of 5/16" or 7/16". Dual diameter rollers and sleeved rollers are available on request. Gravity idler rollers are our specialty today — if you have a powered, CDLR, or live-roller requirement, tell us about your program.
Lead time scales with volume: small-batch orders typically ship within one week, and larger production runs within two weeks. For specs that match our current warehouse stock, turnaround can be as fast as 2 days. Stocking agreements are available for high-volume programs — talk to our team about ongoing supply arrangements.
Orders under 100 units are manufactured as custom-made rollers and typically ship within one week; larger production runs ship within about two weeks. For higher volumes, we support production runs exceeding 5 million units annually with competitive lead times.
Yes. We are capable of producing dual diameter rollers (two-diameter rollers for sortation, accumulation, or curve sections) and sleeved rollers (typically polyurethane-sleeved over a galvanized steel shell). These are built to your drawing — contact our technical team about feasibility, lead time, and minimum order quantities.
Yes. We offer optional groove profiles for belt-driven applications. Groove specifications can be customized to match your conveyor system requirements.
Yes. We offer optional polyurethane coating for applications requiring additional grip, noise reduction, or product protection. Coating coverage (start position and length along the roller), thickness, and durometer can all be specified.
All rollers are manufactured under our ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system. We use calibrated measurement systems traceable to national standards, with end-of-line inspection before rollers ship. Lotus is also a member of the Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA).
All rollers are manufactured in our 300,000 sq. ft. facility in Canton, Michigan, USA. We are a domestic manufacturer with full in-house production capability — no outsourced components or overseas dependencies.
